Through The Vent - Part 1

Part 1

One day Jenna was really bored. She was fed up and went to the phone. She dialled a number and began to speak.
“Hey auntie! How are you? Oh I’m good but I was wondering if you would like a visitor for a week? It’s just…I am so bored, I need to get out of the house!”
There was a long pause and then Jenna began talking again. “Oh I see…how about next week then? Woo! Awesome! I can’t wait! Is Kat going to be there? Ok! Tell her hi! Love you, bye!”
Jenna put down the phone and skipped to her bedroom. She was very happy after the phone call. This was because she just arranged to stay at her aunt’s house for the week.
By the time the week ended Jenna had all her bags ready. She hugged her mum, dad and little sister and ran out the door to meet her aunt in the driveway.
“Thank you for letting me stay in your house Linda!”
“No problem Jen! You know you’re my favourite niece.” Her aunt replied.
“Ha! I’m your only niece!” Jenna demanded while letting out a giggle.
They arrived at the house and Jenna leaped out of the car.
“I haven’t been here in so long! It looks huge since last time!”
“Jen, that’s because we got an extension. And you saw it about 3 years ago when you were 12.” Her aunt explained.
“Oh! Really? How long… anyway where’s Katrina?”
“She should be in her room! I’ll call her in a sec.” Her aunt paused for a few minutes. “Kat? You upstairs? Jenna’s here to see you!”
